Geoff Rushton, Sculpture
Radios
2010
Wood, acrylic paint, laquer
20cm high
My second skeletal form, this piece is more technically complex due to it having an inner skeletal layer.

The inspiration behind this sculpture is the radiolarian.
Radiolarians are microscopic amoeboid protozoa, yet despite their size, much rock, including the white cliffs of Dover are made up of their fossilized skeletons.
