Wood skeleton steletal abstract sculpture wall hanging glass hawthorn delicate
Hawthorn, acrylic, glass
25cm high

The sun begins to wane, light becomes more scarce and warmth gives way to cold.
Life prepares to scatter now, one prepares to die, many prepare to live. To live, though, means to bear the cold.

Before life can live in the light, it must pass the trial of winter.

The third of a 3 part series, spring, summer and autumn.
I made these in the middle of winter, my studio was very cold and inspired thoughts of warmer times of year!

This is a very thin, delicate carving, mounted on a white backing to be hung on a wall.

The picture shows the piece under 2 different lighting condition to demonstrate the 'cats eyes' reflective effect of the piece.
