Wood skeleton steletal abstract sculpture wall hanging glass hawthorn delicate
Hawthorn, acrylic, glass
20cm high

The rigours of winter subside, a hard, lifeless shell, armour from the cold, slowly moves, pushed away by an inner stirring.

The sun shines a little warmer today, life comes again!

The first of a 3 part series, spring, summer and autumn.
I made these in the middle of winter, my studio was very cold and inspired thoughts of warmer times of year!

This is a very thin, delicate carving, mounted on a white backing to be hung on a wall.

The picture shows the piece under 2 different lighting condition to demonstrate the 'cats eyes' reflective effect of the piece.
